in the Newberry county hospital

TO LOCAL HOSPITAL
Deputy Sheriff J. C. Neel who
has been ill at his home on Miller
street, was admitted to the Newber
ry county hospital where he was to
undergo a major operation this
morning (Thursday).
Friends of Deputy Sheriff Rufus
Livingston will be sorry to learn
he has been confined to his home
on Cornelia street for the past
several days suffering with an at
tack of flu.

Thomas W. Miller
Thomas William Miller, three-
month-old son of Thomas L. and
Jessie Morgan Miller, died in his
sleep last Thursday morning at the
home of Robert Riddle in Kinards.
Surviving in addition to his pa
rents are his paternal grandmother,
Mrs. W. Y. Pate, St. Petersburg,
Fla., a great-grandfather, H. A.
Prather, Kinards and a great
grandmother, Mrs. Mattie E. Miller,
Kinards.
Funeral services were held Fri
day afternoon at the residence of
Robert Riddle at Kinards with Rev.
M. C. Hembree in charge. Inter
ment was in the Fairview cemetery.
