FRIDAY, AUGUST 23. 1946 THE NEWBERRY SUN LOOK... TO IKE NEED OF For Water and Sewer The Chamber of Commerce and the Junior C of C join in an endorsement of the proposed program for WATER & SEWER EXTENSION The 4 Following Reasons Are Absolute MUSTS: 1 2 Our present sewer disposal system has been condemn ed by the State Board of Health as a health hazard. A new system is an absolute immediate necessity. Increase of water supply. The daily capacity of^our plant is now one million gal- Jofns. At times our daily use exceeds one million gal lons. Under these conditions, in case of big fire, what? 3 4 More sewer main lines. Our present Sewer lines are inadequate for our needs NOW and will not permit of expansion for new homes or Industries. The future growth and prosperity of Newberry is de termined by our actions now. A YES vote is for Progress. Compare Newberrys Rates With Other Cities! ELECTRICITY WATER K. W. Hrs.
