Hamp ton Cousins of Newberry, which took place Sunday afternoon, - December 12, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Thrift, in Greenville. Rev. H. O. Chambers, former pas tor of the bride, performed the ring ceremony in the presence of a small group of relatives and friends. Prior to the ceremony Miss Nell Davis, neice of the bride, sang “The Rosary”. She was accompanied at the piano by her sister, Mrs. William T. King. Miss Mary Thrift, the bride’s only attendant, wore a black tailored suit with purple and black accessories and an orchid corsage. The bride was becomingly attired in a light wool suit of romance blue. Her cor sage was a white purple-throated or- Pecans! Pecans! Pecans! It is essential to the morale of American people during these times. Where ever you may turn you will find people in need of a kind word, a courteous gesture or a pat on the back. From such thoughtfulness comes extra strength to meet the routine problems of everyday life. It is our definite purpose to maintain this attitude, to keep the spirit of Christmas not only on December 25, but from now on.
