nati, Ohio, at the christening cere
mony Saturday of the U. S. C,
Chaffee at the Navy Yard,
This ship was christened by Mrs.
Powell in honor of her son, William
FtowtU, gunner’s mate second class,
who was killed aboard the San Fran
cisco in the Solomon Island, Novem
ber 12, 1943.
RETURNS TO FLORIDA
Pvt. Jimmy Ringer returned to
Zephyrhills, Florida, last Friday,
where he is stationed, after spending
a 15 day’s furlough with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Ringer.
