THE NEWBERRY SUN
PAGE FIVE
A traffic light was carelessly ignored! Then, quick as a flash,
came needless destruction and horrible death!
"I didn’t know ... I didn’t mean to ... I didn’t realize!”
What good are stupid, useless expressions when a life has been
taken, or an innocent victim crippled forever?
This disregard of all safe and sane driving on our highways must
STOP. The motorist who has not the good sense to drive carefully,
who endangers life and limb, will be deprived of the right to drive.
Law-enforcing agencies in our City and State are united to make
reckless drivers respect the law.
Obey all the laws and keep out of trouble. If you are hazy about
any of them, be informed at once. You will be held responsible
for failure to observe them.
