THE needless killing of our citizens on the highways is just
plain slaughter. It fittingly describes the wanton destruction of
life. Can it—will it—-be stopped? The answer is YES!!!
We are winning our fight. The highways of our city and state
are being made safe for all motorists, because every driver of a
car knows by this time that the Authorities, both State and Local,
are in Dead Earnest. Those who observe all the regulations and
drive with caution will be welcomed and extended every courtesy.
They will be protected from the reckless motorist.
The elimination of the excessive speeder is a big step in the right
direction. Real progress is being made toward the goal of safer
highways, but we still need YOUR help—every hour of the
day and night.
