TAKE WARNING-BE CAREFU
They tell tales that drive home unforgettable lessons. More
heart-reaching than all words is this tragic picture of the lifeless
victim of a reckless, law-defying driver.
This shedding of human blood on the highways of our city and
state can be eliminated by stem enforcement. Those guilty of these
crimes should be treated like other enemies of society.
An aroused nation is taking its Safety Campaign very seriously.
In 1937 a total of 38,000 men, women and children were killed
on highways. Last year these deaths were reduced by 8,000. But
there is still greater room for improvement.
For your own sake and the sake of others, drive carefully. The
highways must be made safe for everyone. Our citizens—whether
motorists or pedestrians—must be protected.
