L. Caudle, Chairman of the South Carolina State Highway Commission, and Mrs. Caudle re turned Sunday from a two weeks’ vacation in Southern Florida. While there they were the guests of Mr. Bob King, entrepreneur of the King’s Line of hotels includ ing the “Jacaranda” where the Caudles stayed while in Avon Park, Florida. Peny of Chicago, 111., and Fort jackson* on December 9. r The ceremony, at tended by relatives and a few close friends, took place at 7 p/ m. in the Post chapel at Fort Jack- son. The bride was lovely in a grey suit with black accessories. Her only attendant was her sister. Miss Lois Mayson. The bridegroom’s attendant was Robert Jeffcoat. Mrs. Perry attended school at Edgefield, and she has been em ployed with the Veteran’s ad ministration in Columbia. Captain Perry is the son of Mrs. Loretta Perry and the late James L. Perry of Chicago. He was grad uated from the University of De- Paul, Chicago, and served overseas in the European and Asiatic thea ters during the recent war. The bridegroom received his discharge with the rank of major in Febru ary, 1946, and reenlisted to active duty in August, 1946. He has the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, The young couple will make their home in Fayetteville, N. Secretary report was read by Mrs. Widincamp in the absence of Mfs. Sanders. Treasurer’s report was read by Mrs. Harmon. A motion was made and carried to give $5 additional to the Nurses Home in Columbia. Mrs. Hanvey read a card * of thanks from the Orphanage for the wardrobe presented the circle’s adopted orphan. Mrs. Simpson expressed her thanks and appreciation to the for all acts of kindness dur ing her sickness. xvirs. G. J. Sanders dismissed with prayer. There were 15 present.
