Mr. and Mrs. Oneal S. Sexton
announce the birth of a daughter,
Glenda Joe Ann, on December 8,
1946, weight, 7 pounds and 12
ounces. Mother and daughter are
doing fine.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Bert Deason of
McCormick have announced the
marriage of their daughter, Eliza
beth; to Mr. W. M. West, Jr., oh
Saturday, Dec. 7. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev. Foster
Speer, former pastor of the bride,
at Jiis home in Plum Branch, S.
C. Only relatives and a few close
friends witnessed the impressive
ring cermony.
Mrs. West is the eldest daughter
of her parents. She attended the
McCormick public schools and for
the past three years she has been
employed by the Hollingsworth
Candy Company in Augusta, Ga.
For her wedding she wore a blue
wool suit with black accessories.
;Her corsage was of pink carna
tions.
Mr. West is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. W. M. West of Augusta, Ga.
He is ? veteran of World War n,
having served with the U. S. Army
in Panama for more than three
years. He holds a positions with
the Augusta Roofing and Metal
Works and they will make their
home in Augusta.

De la Howe School
To Close 20th
For Holidays
The De la Howe State School
will close for the Christmas holi
days Friday, Dec. 20. About 200 of
the 'children will spend the vaca
tion in the homes of relatives.
They will return to school on Jan.
1st.
