jjF you find yourself always hurry*
I -Ing and always tired, it's time to
stop and do something about it. You
wont to be In fine fettle for the ap*
, preaching holidays and no one else
can make out a
I schedule for your
; ‘day's- activities.
You'll have to figure
out your short-cuts
and your short
comings by your-
self.
As to being tired
It's perfectly natur-
r sees v al to get tired but
f V you are well you should just as
\ naturally feel zested, too, If you give
| yourself a chance to rest.
When you're at home alone all
day do you eat your lunch? Are
you wearing the right kind of
shoes to work in? Do you worry
over the past, present and future
« uad about things over which you
« have no control? All these are
i very definite factors that con-
, tribute to perpetual tiredness.
* So eat your lunch sitting down and
i relaxing. Food is fuel and you mus<
* have it to keep going. Listen to the
; radio or read something that wil!
: take your mind off of yourself and
< jour problems while you eat.
‘ Be sure your shoes are comfort-
* able and sturdy. A homemaker walki
’ many a mile in her own house and
•walking is walking no matter where
jou do it.
Take an afternoon nap. Even fif-
♦ teen minutes will rest you. Do you
* know that the researchers have flg-
' ured out that if you go at your jot
J half dead from weariness, you’re
4 paying fifty percent tax on every
•hour? Dishes break and potatoes
•burn when you are over-tired but
! try to keep going.
And another thing, you aren’t
•ouch fun for the family if you are
everlastingly tired.
Some women find it helpful to
■write out a list of things to be done,
hot an iron-clad schedule as to the
rxact minute wheh certain tasks
,*nust be started and finished, but re
minders of odd jobs that should be
• taken care of. If you are inclined to
dwadle, perhaps an hourly schedule
will show you where you ye wasting
feme.
Market lists are essential. If you
’■Xy to keep lists of supplies in the
hack of your head you are apt to be
gfenluscd and forgetful.

Goiter eu%d Myxodnmm
By Dr. J. IK. Wa
When thyroid gland in neck is
overactive—too much juice thy
roid extract being manufactured
—there is a great increase in the
rate at which body processes
work—heart, lungs, circulation of
blood. If metabolism test shows
body processes are working 15 to
20 per cent or more faster than
normal, it is goiter and all or
part of gland is removed.
If the rate at which body pro
cesses Is 15 to 20 per cent or more
below normal. It is called myxe
dema and a daily dose of thyroid
extract is given.
