Fortified Red Squill, the poison which will be used, is harmless to neople and domestic animats, but has proven deadly effective on rats in the control campaigns which have been conducted by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service for a number of years. The bait will be prepared on campaign day and put irt 3-pound packages, which is the amount needed to bait the aver age farm. Complete instructions for using the bait will be furnished with each package. Civil Service Examiners Is Established At Camp Gordon Camp Gordon, Ga., Nov. 4.—A Board of United States Civil Ser vice Examiners has been establish ed at Camp Gordon and in the future will announce competitive examinations for permanent civil service ratings for positions at Camp Gordon, Mrs. William J. Donnelly, Secretary of the Board stated here this week. The first examinations for pro- bational (permanent) appoint ments to be announced by the Camp Gordon Board are for the following positions: Operating Engineer (Water); Operating En gineer (Refrigeration); Operating! Engineer (Sewage Disposal); Jun ior Operating Engineer (Sewage Disposal). These jobs pay from a minimum of seventy-eight cents an hour to a maximum of a del-’ !ar and twenty-eight cents an hour, based on a forty hour work week. From the 4th of November through the 4th of December, ap plications for any positions cov ered by this examination an nouncement may be filed with the Secretary, Board of U.
