This order removes the “duration-plus-six- monhts^ limitation which has ap plied to persons whose Civil Ser vice employment began after March 16, 1942, receiving appoint ments known as War-Service In definite. Veterans who establish the present existence of not less than 10 per cent service-connected dis ability, as adjudged by the Vet erans Administration, and who are now satisfactorily serving un der War-Service Indefinite ap pointments may acquire a com petitive classified status and be retained in the Federal Civil Ser vice.
