McCORMICK MESSENGER, McGORMICK, SOUTH CAROLINA Thursday, May 25, 1944 Sgt. James A. Henderson of Finney General Hospital, Thomas- ville, Ga., and Thomas R. Hender son, S 1-c of the Navy Yard, Charleston, S. C., spent “Mother’s Day" with their mother, Mrs. B. R. Henderson, and other relatives here. Mrs. James A. Henderson returned to Thomasville with Sgt. Henderson after spending a week with relatives here. underwent an operation Thursday. She returned home for the re mainder of the week with her mother. Mrs. M. J. Furqueron and Mrs. C. D. Boyd left Sunday for a visit to relatives in Columbia, after spending some time here in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scruggs, Sr. Chief Aviation Pilot J. W. Mills, Jr., and Mrs. Mills of Wildwood, N. J., and Mrs. Margaret Berry of Augusta were recent visitors here with Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Strom. Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen McNeill of Greensboro, N. C., spent the past week end with Mrs. J. H. McNeill and other relatives. Mr. Jessie R. Henderson of Co lumbia is visiting relatives in and near McCormick. - Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Receiving with Mrs. McCain and her honor guest were Mrs. Edwin Marsh, of Boston, Mass., also a recent bride; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Harry Marsh, of Augusta; Mrs. Robert Lee Olive and Miss Elizabeth Marsh, of Augusta.
