Miss Britt, who was graduated
from Winthrop College, South
Carolina, in 1941, is Foods In
structor in the Hawthorne High
School.
Mr. Bandzevich was graduated
from Tufts College, Massachusetts,
in 1940. He has been employed
by the Wright Aeronautical Cor
poration for the last three years
as a Test Engineer.

commissioner of Labor Statistics
and has taken over the new of
fice. He was formerly Wage
Analyst for the same states.
The regional office represents a
consolidation of the functions of
i the Price Branch and Wage
Analysis Branch in the eight
I states. Alan L. Ritter succeeds
Birector Bawson as Regional
Wage Analyst, while Robert V.
Connerat will continue as Region
al Price Analyst.
“Consolidation of all the Bu
reau’s various functions into one
regional office”, Birector Daw
son said, “will make possible bet
ter and faster service to the pub
lic and the various War Agencies.
It will also permit a more thor
ough collection of wage and price
statistics, such as are used in the
preparation of the Bureau's
monthly Cost of Living Index.”
Although born in Mobile, Ala
bama, the new director was rear
ed in Montgomery and was grad
uated from Dartmouth College,
Hanover, N. H., in 1935. He then
took a post graduate course in
Business Administration at the
same college and from 1936 to
1941, served as Industrial Spe
cialist for Brown Brothers, Har-
riman & Company, 59 Wall Street,
New York City.
After six months as assistant to
the City Treasurer of Montgom
ery, Alabama, Mr. Dawson joined
