Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Bledsoe at
tended the funeral of Mr. Bled
soe’s mother, Mrs. J. H. Bledsoe,
of Edgefield, at Rocky Creek Bap
tist Church Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Bledsoe, who was 82 years
old, died at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Carrie Hite, Jan.
20 after a few days’ illness. She
is survived by three daughters,
six sons and many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.

ARMY AIR FORCE SCREEN TEST
The Anderson Squadron, Civil
Air Patrol, will conduct an Army
Air Force Screen test for boys at
the McCormick High School
building on Februarv 4th. Any
white boy (between 16 and 25
years cf age) who is in high
school or who has graduated is
eligible. This test does not obli
gate the boy to sign with the
Army Air Forces.

GRAMMAR SCHOOL GLEE CLUB
The McCormick Grammar
School Glee Club met Monday af
ternoon with Mr. Neilson as di
rector. We are planning to have
two more meetings on Wednesday
and Friday mornings during
school. We also elected officers:

Anne Sanders, Vice-President;
Janet Caudle, Secretary and
Treasurer; Janelle Henderson
Publicity Manager.
HIGH GLEE CLUBS
Mr. Neilson conducted the
music in chapel again Monday
and worked with both the boys
and girls’ glee club later in the
day.
4-H CLUB BOYS
The McCormick 4-H Club Boys,
after hearing a short explanation
of the value and construction of
terraces by G. W. Bonnette,
County Agent, were then carried
to the field and given an actual
demonstration in the running of
terrace lines by B. W. Crouch,
Soil Technician, assisted by G. W.
Bonnette.
