fSSENGER, McCORMICK, SOUTH CAROLINA Thursday, October 9, 1941 NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR CHARTER Notice is hereby given that, the undersigned, after three days from the publication, hereof, will file with the Secretary of State of South Carolina Articles of Incor- I'poration of the McCormick County Purchasing and Marketing Asso ciation. which will set forth: (a) That the name of the Asso ciation shall be McCormick County Purchasing and Marketing Asso ciation. (b) That, among other things, it shall be the purpose of the Asso ciation to engage in any activity in connection with the producing. | marketing. selling, harvesting, j [preserving, drying, processing, can- ! nine:, packing, storing, handling or ! utilization of any agricultural products produced or delivered to it by its members: or the manu facturing or marketing of the by products thereof; or in connection with the purchase, hiring or use by its members of supplies, ma- jjchinery or equipment: or in the financing of any such activities or in any one or more of the activities specified in this section. I No such association, during any j fiscal year thereof, shall deal in. or j handle products, machinery, e-1 ouipment, supplies and | or per form services for and on behalf of | | nonmembers to an amount greater in value than such as are dealt in, handled and I or performed by it for and on. behalf of members during the same period. (c) That the place where its principal business will be trans acted shall be at McCormick, South Carolina. (d) That the Association shall | continue in existence for fifty | years. (e) The names and addresses of those who shall serve as the first 1 Board of Directors. (f) That the property rights and interests of the members shall be ! equal, etc. Said Articles of Incorporation shall also include a praver that a Charter be issued to the under signed, as evidence of incorpora tion of said McCormick County Purchasing and Marketing Asso ciation for the purposes named therein, authorizing it to do busi ness as a non-stock cooperative association under Sections 6499- 6527, inclusive, of the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1932, as a- mended.
