nouncement of the marriage of
Miss Frances Alice Goff of Troy j
to William Milton Bentley of
Amity and Haddock, Ga.
The wedding took place Satur
day evening, Sept. 13th, in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Rush
of Troy with only relatives and a
few close friends present. The
vows were exchanged before the
mantel in the living room. Decora
tions on the improvised altar were
of a variation of colors of zinnias,
snow on the mountain and ivy.
Miss Lois Goff, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor, and Mr.
Wilson Bentley, cousin of the
groom, was best man.
The bride is the oldest daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Goff of Troy.
She chose black crepe romane as
her 'wedding dress with matching
accessories. Lilies of the valley
and white roses fashioned a cor
sage which was worn on the
bride’s shoulder.
The groom is the only son of
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Bentley of
Amity. ,
Immediately after the ceremony
Mrs. Rush entertained with an in
formal reception, after which the
couple left for a short wedding
trip. On their return they will
be at home in Amity.
