Brown. Mr. J. W. McBride of Willing- ton was among the visitors here Friday. Announcement is made that there will be a meeting of the Red Cross at the Court House Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 11 o’clock a. m. All persons interested in the Red Cross are urged to attend for the purpose of electing officers for the coming year. Mr. H. D. Brown of the Clat- worthy’s Cross Roads community was among the visitors here Mon day. Mr. J. C. Dansby and son, Mr. Charles S. Dansby, of near Troy, were visitors here one day the past week. Myrick Russell, Radio Artist and Entertainer Unique, In “Sense and Nonsense”, accompanied by “Myric’s Musical Mountaineers”, who will entertain with hill billy, sacred and popular music at Troy school auditorium Saturday even ing, Nov. 9, at 7:45 o’clock. Ad mission 10 cents and 25 cents. Mr. R. M. Winn of Plum Branch was a visitor here Saturday after noon. Mr. D. L. Burnett of the Calli- son community was a visitor here Saturday. Mr. W. H. Andrews of Willington was a visitor here Saturday after noon. Brown-Brock In a ceremony marked by sim plicity and beauty, Miss Marian Louise Brown became the bride of Ansel Edwin Brock Saturday night, at 8 o’clock, at Troy A. R. P. Church, Rev. R. E. Craig, pastor of the bride, officiating in the presence of a large group of friends and relatives, using the ring ceremony. The church was beautifully dec orated with evergreens, chrysan themums and white tapers. Im mediately before and during the ceremony a program of wedding music was presented by Mrs. Lucian Talbert, pianist. Usher-groomsmen for the oc casion included Earl Brown, brother of the bride, Frank Ward- law, Joe White, Henry Young and Francis Martin. Miss Brown chose as her brides maids her sister, Edna Brown, Louise and Elizabeth Brock, sisters of the groom, and Mildred Young and Lily May Hart. They were all beautifully dressed in pink and carried arm bouquets of chrysan themums. Miss Mary Wardlaw of Tro^, as maid of honor, also wore pink’and carried chrysanthemums. The bride entered alone and was met at the altar by the groom and his brother, Elvin Brock, who served as best man. The bride was lovely in a gown of white satin fashioned with long sleeves and full skirt. Her bridal veil was caught to her head in coronet style. She carried white chrysanthemums tied with white satin ribbon. Mrs. Brock is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Brown, and is one of Troy’s most popular and attractive young women. Mr. Brock is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brock of the Bellevue section, but has made his home in Troy for some time, where he holds a responsible position. Their many friends are gl&<^ to know that their marriage will not take them far away. After a short wedding trip they will be at home, at Troy, S. C.
