Brown-Brock
In a ceremony marked by sim
plicity and beauty, Miss Marian
Louise Brown became the bride of
Ansel Edwin Brock Saturday night,
at 8 o’clock, at Troy A. R. P.
Church, Rev. R. E. Craig, pastor
of the bride, officiating in the
presence of a large group of
friends and relatives, using the
ring ceremony.
The church was beautifully dec
orated with evergreens, chrysan
themums and white tapers. Im
mediately before and during the
ceremony a program of wedding
music was presented by Mrs.
Lucian Talbert, pianist.
Usher-groomsmen for the oc
casion included Earl Brown,
brother of the bride, Frank Ward-
law, Joe White, Henry Young and
Francis Martin.
Miss Brown chose as her brides
maids her sister, Edna Brown,
Louise and Elizabeth Brock, sisters
of the groom, and Mildred Young
and Lily May Hart. They were
all beautifully dressed in pink and
carried arm bouquets of chrysan
themums.
Miss Mary Wardlaw of Tro^, as
maid of honor, also wore pink’and
carried chrysanthemums.
The bride entered alone and was
met at the altar by the groom and
his brother, Elvin Brock, who
served as best man.
The bride was lovely in a gown
of white satin fashioned with
long sleeves and full skirt. Her
bridal veil was caught to her head
in coronet style. She carried
white chrysanthemums tied with
white satin ribbon.
Mrs. Brock is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Brown, and is
one of Troy’s most popular and
attractive young women.
Mr. Brock is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Brock of the Bellevue
section, but has made his home in
Troy for some time, where he
holds a responsible position.
Their many friends are gl&<^ to
know that their marriage will not
take them far away.
After a short wedding trip they
will be at home, at Troy, S. C.
Many out of town guests were
present for the occasion.
