Wilkes Dendy and little daughter, Willa Dendy, of Dalton, Ga., are spending sev eral days here with Mrs. wistar Harmon. message on “Rebuilding a New World” at the McCormick Baptist Church Sunday morning. He, with Mr. and Mrs. W.‘ E. Rankin and son, Billy Rankin, of Anderson, were dinner guests of Mrs. W. G. Huguley and Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Morgan. Mrs. Nan Workman Britt of Augusta is spending a few days here with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. C. H. Workman. Mr. Clyde Long of Bradley CCC Camp, and Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Long and children of. Troy. Mr. John Wm. Bradley, who re ceived his diploma from The Cita del Saturday, left Sunday morning for a six weeks’ encampment with the R. O. T. C. at Pensacola, Fla. Mr. R. F. Freeland of Plum Branch was a visitor here Tues day. Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Connor and children, little Miss Irma Joan and Master Klugh Connor, Jr., of Union, spent the week end here with relatives. Miss Alma Faulkner of Augusta, Ga., was here for the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Faulkner. Mr. John Morrah of the Bellvue community was among the visitors here Monday. Mr. B. P. Talbert of the Bethany community was a visitor here one day the past week. Mr. Y. E. Seigler of the Bethany community was a visitor here one day the past week. Mrs. W. J. Talbert and Mrs. C. H. Huguley have returned from sev eral days’ visit to friends in Hen dersonville, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Jack L. Bradley, Misses Mabel Lyon and Frances Strom attended graduation exer cises at The Citadel Friday and Saturday of last week where Cadet John William Bradley was a member of the graduating class. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Strom and family attended the grad uating exercises at Furman Uni versity, Greenville. Their son, i Wilber Strom, Jr., was a member I of the graduating class. Mr. W. K. McDonald of the Bethany community was a visitor here yesterday morning. Mrs. W. C. Reedy of Tampa, Florida, is spending several weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Brown. ■*r m Mrs. At J. Andrews, Mrs. W. C. Reedy, and Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Brown attended commencement exercises at Winthrop College, Rock Hill, the past week end, where Miss Elizabeth Brown was a member of the graduating class.
