Mr. and Mrs. Willis Ard of Co lumbia spent the week end ' with Mr. Ard’s sister, Mrs. E. L. Rogers. Mr and Mrs. Luther D. Weeks and their small son from Bowling Green, Kentucky, were visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Minor during the past week, and Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Binnicker and children from Columbia were Sunday visitors in the same home. Dr. R. M. Fuller of Greenwood was a visitor here Tuesday. Mr. T. R. Blackwell of Parksville was a visitor here Monday. Miss Anna Fimiueron of Augus ta, Ga., is spending her vacation here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Furqueron. Miss Frances Strom and Mrs. Catherine Padgett attended the Senior Hop given at The Citadel, Charleston, last week end. Mr. A. B. Andrews of Willington was a visitor here Tuesday. The club is composed of a- bout 48 young ladies and is directed by Mrs. Lloyd Hendricks. All people are cordially invited to! this service. txt County Council Farm Women To Hold Spring Meet April 27 An important meeting of the Executive Committee of the Coun ty Council of Farm Women was held on April 1st in the H. D. Agent’s office. Plans were made for the Spring meeting of the Council to be held at Buffalo Church on April 27th, with the central theme of ad dresses to be “Gardening.” A good speaker is to be secured and all The Dowtin H. Minutes were read and approved. Roll called. Miss Bell gave the demonstration on Exterior Beautification. She also gave a formula for chick feed and showed some good poultry equipment. Club Holds April Meeting The Dowtin H. D. Club met with Mrs. P. J. Dowtin on April 2nd with six members and Miss Bell present. Mrs. Roper read the 23rd psalm, followed with prayer by Miss Annie Chiles. “All Hail The Power” was sung. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Roll called. Plans for the County Council meeting April the 27th were dis cussed. Miss Bell gave a helpful talk on Clean-up Campaign and Better Homes, suggesting various ways of making the home more convenient and attractive.
