Mrs. Tmv Jordan, widow of
Lewis Jordan, who preceded her to
the grave in 1901. died at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. W. L.
Winn, in Edgefield county at
three o’clock last Thursday morn
ing.
Mrs. Jordan, who had been seri
ously ill for ten days, had been in
declining health for sometime.
Her parents were the late George
Morgan and Mattie Howie Mor
gan. two well known families of
Parksville. She was 81 years of
age the twenty-seventh of last
Sentember.
Mrs. Jordan was one of the most
beolved women of her community.
She was a loyal member of the
Methodist denomination, and was
alwavs keenly interested in the
affairs of her church and commu
nity. Her sweet personality en
deared her to many friends, and
during her long illness she was
always natient and kind, she bore
her affliction with Christian for
titude.
She was the last surviving mem
ber of her immediate family. Her
death brines deep sorrow to her,
numerous friends.
Surviving are three daughters,
Mrs W. I. Winn, Mrs. Ernest Winn.
Mrs. T. Bailey, all of Edgefield;
two sons, L. M. Jordan, Green-;
wood; G. C. Jordan, Callison;
thirty-five grandchildren and ten
great-grandchildren. Funeral ser
vices were conducted from Reho-

morning at 11 o’clock. The Rev.
W. B. Garrett and the Rev. A. D.

total of $13,875 in activity fees for
the second semester cf the current-
year. Men paid $9,990 and women
