Mrs. Massey is convalescing from a re cent illness. Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen McNeill of Greensboro, N. C., spent the week end with homefolks here. Mr. Arthur Bradley of Black- stock and Mr. Jim Bradley of Moncks Corner spent Thanksgiv ing holidays here with their mother, Mrs. J. E. Bradley. Miss Kathleen McKinney of Donalds spent the week end at home. Mr. L. L. Hester of Mt. Carmel was a visitor here yesterday. Miss Louise Dillashaw spent the week end in Greenwood with Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Young. Miss Rebecca Baughman of Ab beville visited her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. McNeill, during the holiday season. Mr. W. W. Keller, who teaches school at La Grange, Ga., spent the Thanksgiving holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E Keller, at Meriwether. Miss Margaret McKinney of Parksville spent the week end at home. . Mr. and Mrs. George B. Sibert and George Brown, Jr., spent sev eral days last week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Patterson and Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Sibert. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Abercrombie of Conway, Mr. Gray Abercrombie of Ridgeland, and Miss Ruby Abercrombie, Leesville, spent Thanksgiving here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Abercrombie. Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Hogue of Columbia are spending their va cation with relatives near McCor mick. Mrs. Hogue is the former Miss Louise McKinney. Mrs. J. E. Luke and daughter, Mrs. Claudia L. Durden, of Au gusta, Ga., spent Thanksgiving day wi,h the former’s sister, Mrs. H. A. Adams, at Meriwether. Miss Margaret Patterson, teach er in the Elloree schools, spent Thanksgiving with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Patterson. The W. M. S. of the Baptist church will observe a special season of prayer and gifts Friday afternoon at 3:30 at the heme of Mrs. G. J. At a meeting of the McCormick County Temperance Committee, on Monday evening, 28th inst., in Mr. and Mrs. Lexie L.
