Mrs. Thomas Hope Reeder,
pianist, of Atlanta, a cousin of the
bride, Mrs. Joseph S. Dukes, con
tralto, and Morris Drucker, violin
ist, rendered the wedding music.
Before the ceremony Mrs. Reeder
played “Venetian Love Song’’
(Nevin); Mrs. Dukes sang “O.
Promise ^ Me” (de Koven), and
“Calm as the Night” (Bohm); Mrs.
Reeder and Mr. Drucker played
“Traumeri” (Schumann), and
during the ceremony they render
ed “Liebestraum” (Lizst). “Bridal
Chorus” from Lohengrin (Wagner)
was used for the processional and
Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March”
was used for the recessional.
The ushers were Porter Caswell
Dorn, Jr., George Neel Dorn,
brothers of the bride; James M.
Dorn, a cousin of the bride, and
Harry E. Ruff of Rock Hill, uncle
of the bridegroom.
The bride entered with her
lather, Porter Caswell Dorn, who
gave her in marriage. She was
lovely in a most becoming ensemble
of silvered black wool: a tailored
dress and matching knee length
coat with blue fox collar. Her small
black hat had a short veil and her
other accessories were in black
suede. She wore a shoulder corsage
of valley lilies.
The bridegroom’s best man was
his brother, Fletcher Kuykendall of
Rock Hill.
The Reverend A. Thad. Persons,
pastor of the bride, performed the
ceremony, using the impressive
ring ceremony of the Episcopal
church.
Mrs. Dorn, mother of the bride,
wore a dress of green crepe with
black accessories and a corsage of
talisman rosebuds.
