J. T. and D. E. McGrath of the
Organization of the McGrath Motor
Co. in McCormick returned home
last Thursday filled with en
thusiasm over the outlook for 1938,
after a meeting with zone officials
at Columbia, S. C., where they ob
tained their first inside informa
tion on the new 1938 Chevrolet soon
to be introduced to the public.
The new car embodies so many
advances as to assure heavy de
mand, the dealer reported. Plans
for the most spectacular new car
introduction in Chevrolet history
are being rounded out.
Spokesman for the McGrath
Motor Co. attending the Columbia
Zone meeting, said they believed
the approaching announcement pe
riod will see a greater public in
terest in the new model offerings
than has ever been seen before.
The statement was based on the
fact that the new models embody
j many vital advances in safety, per-
1 formance, economy, comfort and

State Forester Urges
Planting Acorns
The acorns of our forests are
now ripe and falling to the ground.
They provide much food for game
and livestock. Tree planters gather
them at this time of the year and
plant them immediately or stratify
them in dry sand until early
spring when they may be planted.
