Miss Margaret Smith of Bamberg was visiting relatives and friends here last week. Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Sanders, Jr., and children have returned from a visit to Mrs. Sander’s parents in Pikeville, Ky. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Howie of Clemson College were recent visi tors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Talbert. Miss Helen Talbert, who served as superintendent of the Junior Dept, in the Daily Vacation Bible School held recently at the local Baptist church, has been engaged in similar work at Wellford during the past two weeks. Once again a brother Mason, having completed the designs writ ten for him on life’s trestle board, has passed through the portals of ’Eternity and entered the Grand Lodge of the new Jerusalem and has received, as his reward, Jie white stone with a new namo written thereon. And, Whereas, The all wise and merciful Master of the universe has called from labor to refresh ment our beloved and respected Brother, L. W. Lyon, who, for thirty years ha 3 been a true and loyal Mason, therefore be it RESOLVED: 1. That Mine Lodge, No. 117, A. F. M., has sustained a great loss. To us it seems that his work was not finished, yet, his column is broken. In cur minds and hearts his memory is on perpetual record. We, each and all mourn his loss, both as a faithful friend and brother. And may we bow in humble submission to the will of Him, that doeth all things well. 2. That a page in our minute book be inscribed to his memory and the Lodge be draped in mourn ing for a period of thirty days. 3.
