IN MEMORY OF
BROTHER L. W. LYON.
“Leaves have their time to fall,
and flowers to wither at the North
wird’s cold blast, but thou, Oh,
Death! hast all seasons for their
own”. Once again a brother Mason,
having completed the designs writ
ten for him on life’s trestle board,
has passed through the portals of
’Eternity and entered the Grand
Lodge of the new Jerusalem and
has received, as his reward, Jie
white stone with a new namo
written thereon.
And, Whereas, The all wise and
merciful Master of the universe
has called from labor to refresh
ment our beloved and respected
Brother, L. W. Lyon, who, for thirty
years ha 3 been a true and loyal
Mason, therefore be it
RESOLVED:
1. That Mine Lodge, No. 117, A.
F. M., has sustained a great loss.
To us it seems that his work was
not finished, yet, his column is
broken. In cur minds and hearts
his memory is on perpetual record.
We, each and all mourn his loss,
both as a faithful friend and
brother. And may we bow in
humble submission to the will of
Him, that doeth all things well.
2. That a page in our minute
book be inscribed to his memory
and the Lodge be draped in mourn
ing for a period of thirty days.
3. That a copy of these resolu
tions be sent his family and the
same be published in the McCor
mick Messenger.
