Strom, during the past week end. Messrs. N. S. Scott and L. L. Hester of Mt. Carmel were visitors here yesterday. Mr. C. B. Strom of Washington, D. C., is visiting relatives here. 20 Vacancies In Army Sergeant Clifford C. Floyd, U. S. Army Recruiter, Columbia, an nounced Monday that he has 20 vacancies for the Infantry, at Sa vannah, Ga. Columbia is the only station in North and South Caro lina which has vacancies for Fort Screven, located in Savannah, Ga., near Tybee beach. Any young men interested in the above vacancies and an Army ca reer are invited to apply at the U. S. Army Recruiting Station, U. S. Court House Building, Columbia, S. C.
