P. M. Carsoway, pastor of that church. The bridal party returned to the iiome of the bride’s parents where. »• a bountiful wedding supper had been prepared for them and other relatives and friends. After sever al hours of pleasant conversation Mr. Bussey and his bride left for Bucedale, Miss., where Mr. Bussey holds a responsible position with Wfest Construction Co. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe E. Robinson of Sau cier, Miss. She is a young woman of great charm and numbers her friends by the score. She graduat ed from Saucier High School in the class of *33, and since that time has been librarian for her alma mater. Mr. Bussey is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. *M. Bussey of Parksville, S. C., and is a young man of sterling qualities. He re ceived his education at Mt. Pleas ant Military Accademy, Mt. Pleas ant, N. C., and The Citadel, Char leston, S. C. We wish for these two young people who have embarked on Life’s voyage under fair and sun ny skies a safe, happy, and worth while journey. Notice is hereby given that the General Election for Presidential and Vice Presidential Electors, United States Senator and Repre sentatives in Congress will be held at the voting precincts fixed by law in the County of McCormick on Tuesday, November 3, 1936, said day being Tuesday following the first Mondav, as prescribed by the State Constitution. The qualifications for suffrage are as follows: Residence in State for two years, in the County one year, in the polling precinct in which the elec- tdr offers to vote, four months, and the payment thirty days be fore ?nv election of any ooll tax then due and payable. Provided, That ministers in charge of an or ganized church and teachers of pub- lie schools shall be entitled to vote after six months’ residence in the State, otherwise qualified. Before the hour fixed for open ing the polls Managers and Clerks must take and subscribe to the Constitutional oath. The Chairman of the Board of Managers can ad minister the oath to the other Managers and to the Clerk; a No tary Public must administer the oath to Chairman. The Managers elect their Chairman and Clerk. Polls at each voting place must be opened at 8 o’clock a. m. and closed at 4 o’clock p. m., except in the Gitv of Charleston, where they shall be opened at 7 a. m. and c*csed at 6 p. m. and in the City of Columbia where the closing hours shall be at 6 o’clock p. m. The Managers have the power to fill a vacancy; and if none of the Managers attend, the citizens can appoint, from among the qualified voters, the Managers, who after be ing sworn, can conduct the elec tion. At the close of the election the Managers and Clerks must proceed publicly to open the ballot box and count the ballots therein, and continue ,without adjournment un til the same is completed, and make a statement of the results for each office, and sign the same. Within three days thereafter the Chairman of the Board, or some one designated by the Board, must deliver to the Commissioners of Election the poll list, the box con taining the ballots and written statements of the results of the election.
