Bible Qiass Meets
The Susannah Wesley Bible Class
of the McCormick Methodist church
held a most delightful meeting at
j the community house recently, with
the following hostesses: Mrs. D. W.
Keller, Mrs. R. G. Killingsworth,
Mrs. Paul Holloway, Mrs. F. J.
Franklin, and Mrs. William W.
Keown.
The program for the afternoon,
“The Age of Happy Living”, was
led by Mrs. J. T. Fooshe. After the
scripture lesson and prayer, Mrs.
Paul Burnett talked on “What We
Have No Right to Expect from
Prayer”, Mrs. Bonnie Chiles chose
as her subject “The Cure for Lone
liness” and Mrs. Elmer' Creighton
discussed “What to Expect From
Prayer.” “The Three C’s—Confi
dence, Courage and Christ”—was
discussed by Mrs. Wistar Harmon.
After the program a short busi
ness session was held followed by a
most enjoyable social hour. Under
the direction of Recreation Lead
er, Miss Annie Sue Graves, an Ama
teur Hour was held and the talents
of the various class members test
ed. This brought forth a roar of
laughter during the entire program.
Delicious punch and sandwiches
were served.
Mr. J. Hugh Mundy has gone to
Los Angeles, Calif., to make his
home. He has a position with the
Douglas Aircraft Co.

vaccinating chicks for sore head,
roup, and diphtheria can be secur-
1 ed at the County Agent’s office free
of charge. Anyone owning chicks
that have not been vaccinated for
these diseases can be assisted in
this work by getting in touch with
| the County Agent’s office. Mr. P.
II. Gooding, Extension Poultry Spe
cialist, has vaccinated 1400 chicks
in the county for these diseases.
Materials needed can be secured
from these vaccinated flocks.
