Essay Contest
Valuable Prizes Are Offered Pupils
And Teachers in Primary Grades
The South Carolina Department
of Education will sponsor a high
way safety essay contest for ele
mentary school pupils, it has been
announced by J. H. Hope, State
Superintendent of Education. Pu
pils of the fifth, sixth, seventh and
eighth grades under fourteen years
of age are eligible to enter the
contest, and essays must be in by
May 15.
Six prizes are to be offered by

words in length or less than 1,000

certificates of honor will be given.
