Admission 10 and 20 cents. Miss Jennye Lou Lyon and Miss Sarah Davis of Columbia spent Sunday with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abner Lyon. Mrs. Mary Smith and son, Her man Smith, of Mt. Carmel were visitors here Saturday. Messrs. W. H. and L. L. Hester of Mt. Carmel were visitors here Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Britt and children from Ninety Six were visi tors here Saturday afternoon. Mr. J. A. Jennings of Charleston spent the week end here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Jen nings. Mr. J. P. Brunson of Parksville was a visitor here one day the past week. -txt- Miss Austin, Of Don alds, Is Bride Of W. Joseph McKinney, Of Trov Donalds, Feb. 10.—A social event of much interest took place here 'on Saturday morning, Feb. 8th, at nine-thirty o’clock when Miss Vera 'Austin, became the bride of W. Joseph McKinney. The ceremony took place at “Rokhame” the resi dence of the officiating minister, the Rev. James M. Dallas. The ser vice of the Presbyterian church was used, in uniting the young couple as husband and wife. The lovely and charming bride, was becoming ly dressed in a travelling suit of brown cloth, with hat and accesso ries to match, and was attended by Miss Wenonah McKinney, of Mc Cormick, as bridesmaid, while the groom was accompanied by Mr. | Elmer McKinney, of McCormick, as best man. After receiving con gratulations, the young people left amid showers of rice and good wishes, to spend their honeymoon in neighboring towns. Mrs. McKinney is the daughter of the late Mr. William Frank Aus tin and Mrs. Austin of this place. The family is an old and promi nent one in farming circles, and is ! greatly esteemed in this communi ty. Mrs. McKinney is a young lady 'of pleasing personality, much loved I by a large number of friends, who will be pleased to learn of her hap piness. She is a graduate of the Donalds Schools, and for the past years, has held a position with the Ware Shoals Manufacturing Com pany. '.Mr. McKinney is a young man of excellent Character, is well known here and is popular with a large circle of friends. He is a citi zen of Troy, where he is engaged in the lumber business. Mr. and Mrs. McKinney will make thetr future home in Troy, and to it they carry the best wishes of their host of friends in this place, and in the textile center of Ware Shoals. t. WANT ADV.
