Mr. Callahan’s death only leaves two living Confederate veterans in Rutherford county, W. M. Nanney of Spindale and G. B. Guffey of near Union Mills. Mr. Callahan was here last May 10th for the annual Confederate reunion and always enjoyed meeting his com rades.
