Miss Elizabeth Bosdell of Abbe ville spent the past week here at the home of her cousin, Miss Ellen Bosdell. Mr. Paul Holloway left last Tuesday for the Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia for a minor operation. Miss Agnes Malone of Clemson spent the past week end here as guest of Miss Elnita Harvey. Messrs. James Gibert, Welboume Schumpert and William Patterson., students of Clemson College, Clem son, spent the week end here with homefolks. Messrs. W. K. McDonald and Joseph P. Holloway served as jurors in federal court in Greenville sev eral days this week. Mr. Wiley Colemlan, student of Furman University, Greenville, spent the week end here with his | parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Cole man. Miss Ruth E. Williams, R. N., of Emory University, Atlanta, and Mrs. McDonald spent the week end with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Williams. Other guests in the home were Mr. and Mrs. Williams’ daughter and her hus band, Mrs. R. J.. Mims and Mr. Mims of Greenville. Friends of Mr. Carl Willis will be delighted to know he is recuperating nicely from a re cent appendix operation at the Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia and expects to return home soon. McCormick High School Marshals Selected For 1935-36 1. School Marshals are selected on the basis of grade or section scholarship for the first 5 report periods of the school year. 2. School Marshals serve for a perjod of one year. 3. Marshals serve at all public school functions and in any other way that may be designated by school officials. 4. Selection as a School Marshal is a school honor that may not be declined cr resigned except for reasons acceptable to the school faculty. 5. Alternate Marshals serve only in the absence of Marshals. 6. Selection of Marshals for the school year beginning April 24. 1935, is made as follows: Highest scholastic average in Junior Class is designated as Chief Marshal; next highest in each section as Junior Marshals; second highest in each section as Junior Alter nates; two highest in Sophomore Class as Sophomore Marshals; next highest *as Sophomore Alter nate; two highest in Freshman Class as Freshman Marshals; next highest as Freshman Alternate.
