enacted by the General Assembly
of the State of South Carolina:
That the.Magistrate at McCormick,
in McCormick County, is hereby
authorized and empowered to ap
point a Constable upon the recom
mendation of the McCormick Dele
gation in the General Assembly
whose salary shall be fixed by the
said Delegation, it shall be the
duty of said Constable to assist the
Sheriff of McCormick County in
