Miss Nannie Mae Dunlap of the
Bethany community entertained
her Sunday School Class at her
home Friday afternoon, November
23rd, with a Thanksgiving party.
As the guests arrived they drew
slips of paper on which were writ
ten names of food to be found in
Thanksgiving menu; each imper
sonated the food on her slip.
Since Abraham Lincoln first set

Thanksgiving, each guest used the
word Lincoln and named seven
things for which they were person
ally thankful.
The next game proved to be very
interesting, a “Turkey game.” Miss
Lorene Drennan won the honors in
this, being the first person who
found the word “Turkey.” In the
Pilgrim contest which was held,
Virginia Minor won the prize.
After the games delicious re
freshments were served, the hostess
being assisted by Misses Frances
Hollingsworth and Iris Jaynes.
