American Legion And
Auxiliary To Celebrate
Armistice Day Nov. 12
According to an announcement
by Commander C. R. Strom, the
Thos. J. Lyon, Jr., Post of Ameri
can Legion and its Auxiliary will
celebrate Armistice Day Monday
evening with a banquet at the com
munity house here.
The affair will begin promptly
at 7:30 o’clock and all ex-service
men and auxiliary members are in
vited to bring their wives and hus
bands.
The Rev. W. A. Rizer, pastor of
the First Lutheran Church of Au
gusta, who is Dept. Chaplain of
Georgia, Will be the principal
speaker on the program.
A special musical program has

day night was, from all appear
ances, a decided success. A large
crowd of patrons and friends at
tended and enjoyed the entertain
ment. After several expenses
were taken out, the P.-T. A. real
ized quite a nice sum.
The P.-T. A., superintendent, and
entire school wish to thank each
person who took part in the pro
gram, also those people Who gave
candy, peanuts, popcorn, cakes and
other things which were sold. The
money will be spent for books and
other school improvements.
