Watson entertained the girls of the Mc Cormick High School with a most delightful picnic at Salters Pond near Trenton on Tuesday after noon. After an enjoyable swim, a bountiful supper was served. After the devotional, very interesting read ings from the Journal of Missions were given, each member taking part. There was no important business for the afternoon. Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edmunds and daughter, Miss Elsie, have return ed to their home in Augusta, after spending a week with relatives here and in Mt. Carmel. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reeves of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mr. Bob Mil ler of Lima, Ohio, are guests of Mrs. J. E. Britt here this week. Mrs. Reeves is the former Miss Frances Britt. Miss Eula Caudle had as her house guests Sunday Misses Mil dred Matheny, Dorothy Addy, Sara Wertz, Carita Coleman and Kinard Stevens of Saluda and Miss Mar tha Lang, Miss Sara Bracknell and Bill Bracknell. Misses Ella Rush and Lucile Hancock of Greenwood are spend ing this week in the home of their Mrs. C. K. Epting of McCormick, S. C., arrived yesterday for a few weeks’ visit to her cousin, Miss Wadell Gillis, at her home at 134 Montford avenue.
