Kennedy, of Troy, died the City Hospital, Greenville, Sat urday night at 1 o’clock after short illness. For several years he had been connected with his brothers in the operation of Piggly Wiggly stores in j Greenville. He was a member of the Associate Reformed Presby terian Church. Besides his father, Mr. Kennedy is survived by his widow, who was Miss Elizabeth Martin, of Pickens; four sisters, Mrs. J. W. Bradley, of Troy; Mrs. R. T. Nelson, of Lake Wales, Fla.; Mrs. F. E. Grier, of Greenwood, and Mrs. Thomas Fun derburk, of Matthews, N. C., and three brothers, W. P. and J. C Kennedy, Jr., of Greenville, and David Kennedy of Troy. The funeral services were con ducted at the home of his father near Troy Monday morning at 11 o’clock by the Rev. W. A. McCau ley, of Greenville, and the Rev. J. H. Buzhardt, of Troy, and inter ment followed in the Troy ceme tery by the side of his mother, Mrs. Leilah Wardlaw Kennedy, who died several years ago. x- Local P. C. Columbia, June 18.—^Farmers of Edgefield and McCormick Counties borrowed a total of $43,945 from January 1 to June 1 through the Edgefield Production Credit Asso ciation, according to figures releas ed by the Farm Credit Administra tion qf Columbia. The loans were made to a total of 232 farmers, the average loan being $189.42.
