C. camp. ,Mr: Nmis Miss Clara Wideman and Miss Lilie Miller, who are connected with the FERA, visited in Spartanburg Monday. While there they visited the City hospital in interest of public health. Mrs. Wistar Harmon was called to Cairo, Ga., Saturday on account of the illness of her sister, Mrs. S. Wilkes Dendy. * Dr. and Mrs. S. W. Reid arc at Bonclarken, N. C., this week at tending the Synod of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The Synod will hold a memorial service at Bonclarken next Sabbath afternoon at 4 o’clock for the late Rev. Leon T. Pressly, former pastor of McCormick Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Birthday Party A very lovely party was given Tuesday afternoon of last week in the community house by Mrs. W. S. Arrington in honor of her daughter, Erma, who celebrated her 11th birthday. About forty chil dren enjoyed the occasion. Mrs. Arrington was assisted in enter taining by Miss Jewel Patterson and Miss Lois Arrington who served ice cream and individual iced cakes. x Ridlehoov^r-Culbreath The marriage of Miss Martha Culbreath to H§pry Theodore Ridlehoover, both of ftugusta, Ga., took place April 14th, at 3:30 o’clock, at the Curtis Baptist Church parsonage, with the Rev. E. C. Sheridan officiating. The bride and groom were unattended and only the immediate families of the contracting parties witnessed thf. ceremony. The bride was attired in navy blue crepe with navy blue acces sories. She wore a corsage of pink rosebuds and valley lilies. She is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Culbreath of Plum Branch, South Carolina. Mr. Ridlehoover is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Ridlehoover of Plum Branch, South Carolina. He now holds a position with the Railway Express Agency in Augus ta.
