Died Sunday Night
Funeral sehrices for Mrs. Minnie
JLanham Wells, wife of Mr. Frank
P. Wells, well known citizen of
Plum Branch, were held from the
Plum Branch Baptist church Mon-
< day afternoon at 5 o’clock, with her
pastor. Rev. O. L. Orr, in charge.
He was assisted by the Rev. J. E.
Strickland, pastor of the Plum
Branch Methodist church, and ti^e
Rev. J. H. Buzhardt, pastor of the
Troy Associated Reformed Presby
terian church.
Mrs. Wells was 53 years old and
hat keen ill for nine weeks previous
to her death which occurred at her
home in Plum Branch Sunday
night. Besides her husband she is
Survived by the following children:
Mrs. Henry Harris of Troy, S. C.,
Miss Frances Wells, Mr. Bob Wells,
Mr. Lanham Wells of Plum Branch;
two sisters, Mrs. Jack Reynolds of
Plum Branch, Mrs. Addle Carter of
Texas, and one brother, Mr. Walter
lanham, of Plum Branch.

Mrs. Mamie McDaniel and her
daughter, Miss Mary Ann, have
been visiting Mrs. J. A. Self of the
Plum Branch section. Mrs. Mc
Daniel is an aunt of Mrs. Self.
They were over in this section last
week and visited the grave of Mrs.
McDaniel’s sister at Rehoboth who
was the first Mrs. G. S. Cartledge.
They also stopped to see Mrs. Janie
Morgan' and daughter. Mrs. Mc
Daniel and Miss Morgan were close
school friends.
Mrs. Agnes Culbreath is able to
make neighborhood calls again.
A large crowd from Edgefield,
McCormick, Plum Branch, Parks-
ville, Vfhite Town and Rehoboth at
tended Dr. Adams* funeral at Anti
och Friday afternoon.
Mr. W. R. Gilchrist and his two
daughters, Misses Helen and Marie
Gilchrist, motored to Greenwood
Friday. Mr. Gilchrist has not been
so well for sometime.
Mrs. Tillie Groner and Miss Jen
nie Lou Lyon spent the week end
with the family of Mr. W. R. Gil
christ.
