D. Club Meets;
Our H. D. Club held its regular
monthly meeting on the afternoon'
of November 18th, with- Mrs. H. M.
Freeland, with Mrs. W. H. Miner as
joint hostess. Eight members were
present.
The meeting was opened by the
president, Mrs. E. R. Whit& Leading \
four verses from the chapter of ;
Matthew, 16:20, followed . by f the |
Lord’s prayer.

The club accepted an invitation
to meet in the home of Mfs. E., R.
White bn November 22nd to quilt
our quilt for the orphanage.
Plans were made at this time for
a joint recreation party, White
Town and Rehoboth clubs on our
next regular meeting day. Mrs.
Ream most graciously invited,both
clubs to meet with her on the af
ternoon of December 16th. We are
looking forward to a real good time.
Each lady is asked to bring a
Christmas gift, costing not over ten
cents. These gifts will be “shook
up” and drawn out by each one. A
Christmas tree will be a pleasing
feature of the afternoon.
Several readings were given by
different members of the club, in
cluding a health article, also an
argument in the form of three !
prize letters on “Who is the smart
er? men or women.”
Capsule sister's were drawn for
the next two months. After the
roll call and reading of the minutes
of the last meeting the program
was turned over to Mrs. Stall-
worth.

A thorough test was given to de- ,
teimine what each lady had been 1
doing the past month. Eight had
successfully carried out the four
practices given by our leader at the
October meeting. No demenstra-
iion was given at this tim *, as Mrs
Stall wort a expects to be out of the
county for two weeks in December.
A most practical and instructive
.aik by our leader on “Marketing’’
md “Home Made Wreaths” was en-
o^ed. The wreaths are made from
-ver greens gathered from the
woods.
We were very glad to have and

served cocoa, sandwiches and cake,
which were very much enjoyed.
