was on Saturday carried to the
Greenwood Hospital, where she
successfully underwent a serious
operation Sunday morning. She is

August 1st, for India, to teach in
an English colony.
The charming interior was
alight with summer flowets, snap
dragons, gladioli and zinnias be
ing employed. An elegant course
luncheon was served, consisting of
a lobster salad course followed by
French pastries, and nuts,
j Games preceded the luncheon,
and Miss Mary Frances Ragin
was winner of high score prize
and Miss Frances Marshall, the
low score. Miss McLaughlin was
presented the honor gifts, lingerie
and hose, from Miss Killingsworth
and Mrs. Cobb.
Miss McLaughlin received in an
orchid sport dress, with large pic
ture hat. Miss Killingsworth wore
a sport dress of flesh flat crepe
and Mrs. Cobb a green knitted
sport dress. Mrs. Edwin Reid as
sisted in entertaining.
