Mrs. Edward Hammond and son of Elberton visited Mrs. Mary Smith and Mrs. Lofton Jones re cently. Mr. Herman Smith returhed to Greenville a few days ago. KEHOBOTH NEWS Several in this section have had the misfortune to lose valuable mules from over heat; and Miss Lenora Whatley lost a fine cow re cently thought to be either from a fall into the creek where she was found and could not get out or from eating poison weeds. Mrs. Duck Whatley had spent four weeks in Greenville visiting her daughter and went over to Spartanburg to visit her sister-in- law. Mrs. Alice Ouzts is not very well, but we hope for her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Winn and family have recently visited the mountains of North Carolina. Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Culbreath surprised their relatives and friends of this section with a week’s visit or a day with some night with others. They are always welcome to their former home. Bowls of daisies were arranged in the room and delicate traceries of Southern Smilax’were draped over the win dows. Cathedral candles were placed pyramidical style across the mantle and at the back of the al tar, which cast a soft glow over the lovely and sacred scene. While Miss Marion Dorn played "he pre-nuptial music, Mrs. C. R. Strom lighted the candles. To the soft strains of “Love Dreams,” by Brown, the couple entered the cere mony together. Mrs. Jordan is a descendant of one of the oldest and most orom- inent families in McCormick Coun ty. Her grandfather, the late H. Q. Talbert, was long prominent in the political life of this State. She is a honor graduate of Greenville Woman’s College and has taught for several years in the Clover High School. Mr. Jordan is a graduate of Clemson College and has been located at Clover for several years, where he teaches agriculture in the school there. Holly-Bodie Miss Alberta Holly of St. Peters burg, Fla., and Mr. Lee Bodie of St. Petersburg, (formerly of Plum Branch, S. C.,) were married July 6, at Clearwater, Fla. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Holly of St. Peters burg. Mr. Bodie is a son of Mrs. R. C. Stewart of Clinton, S. C.
