NEWS
These weekly news letters may
seem dull and distasteful to some f
but there are some who have gone
from the old home who look for
ward to The Messenger and Ad
vertiser to hear from home and
are interested in every little com
munity news. It is like the man
who was thankful everyone was
not alike; if so every one would
have wanted his wife; and the oth
er man said if all were like him no
one would want her. So the edi
tors kindly read and print all these
letters, for they are tactful enough
to know it takes news to make a
newspaper.
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Corley and
a friend, Miss Tyler, of Green
wood, visited in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. J. P. Talbert Sunday, re

We have had several days of
real summer, but for two days
have had refreshing showers that
have done lots of good.
