The people of our community
have been blessed with a lot of rain
for the last week. If it rains nuch
more we will have a wonderful crop
of May grass. A lot of planting
has been done, but there’s a lot
more to be done yet.
Miss Evelyn Bussey, accompan

from Augusta, Ga., spent Sunday in
the home of the former’s parents,

Mrs. Talton Prince and children
of Edgefield spent last Friday with

program. They were directed by

A solo “Mother’s Prayers Have Fol
lowed Me,” was sung by Mrs. Jno.
F. Warren.
At the church service, Miss An
nie Laurie Godbee sang “Mem
ories of Mother,” and the pastor,
Rev. Jno. F. Warren, made a short
talk on this wonderful subject of
“Mother.”
Mr. Harrold Robertson, formerly
of Parksville, but now of Taylors,
S. C., spent the week end with his
homefolks here.
Mr. Clyde Savage spent the week
end with friends in Greenville.
Mr. Charles Bussey of Erskine
College was a recent visitor in
Parksville.
Mr. Joe Price spent the week end
at Erskine College as the guest of
Mr. Ralph Gales.
The W. M. S. of the Parksville
Baptist Church will meet Friday
afternoon at 3:30 at the home of
Mrs. J. M. Bussey. Every member
is urged to be present.

Y. P. U. are looking forward to the

Groups 1 and 3 to the winning
Groups 2 and 4 on Friday evening

Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Morgan, Ray
mond, Mrs. Janie Morgan and
daughter spent a most pleasant
day,, after Sunday School in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Free
land. They enjoyed a delicious

short.
Mr. Roy Ridlehoover is a con
stant visitor in this community on
Sunday afternoons.
Mr. and Mrs. Adair were guests
of her mother, Mrs. Sudie Stone,
for the week end.
Mrs. Sandford has been spending
some time with Mrs. Stone. Mrs.
Stone has some lovely peonies
blooming in her yard.
Mr. H. E. Freeland has some ex
tra fine vetch and oats. The vetch
is in full bloom and beautiful. Mr.
E. M. Morgan has some fine oats
too, shoulder tall.
Mr. Marion Traylor motored to
visit his aunt, Mrs. H. E. Freeland,
Sunday. He loves his old home
community.
Mr. W. P. Culbreath spent Satur
day night in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. H. E. Freeland.
Mr. H. E. Freeland visited his
parents a couple of days last week.
Mr. E. M. Morgan and Raymond
are in McCormick today.
Glad to report Mrs. Kathryn
Hughey improving, but she is still
quite weak.'
The cemetery is really beautiful
with blooming flowers at Rehoboth.
The hearts ease and verbena are
especially lovely and soon the
shaster daisies will be in bloom.
Ivy and wisteria look well planted
