The Senior 4-H Club held its
regular monthly meeting March
9, 1931. No special program was
carried out for the entire time was
given to the demonstration pro
cedure by the agent.
Mrs. Stallworth brought with
her a collection of pictures of cur
tains which were passed around
among the members and many of
the' girls selected a model by which
they wished to make curtains for
their bedroom. Mrs. Stallworth
also lectured on materials and de
signs for curtains. She brought a
laundry bag so some of the girls
could use it as a pattern if they
liked but each girl has the privil
ege of selecting her own type of
laundry bag.
Pillow cases and one laundry
bag, made by the girls were exhib
ited at this meeting. Then after
plans were made for the girls to
go to rally day, the meeting ad
journed.
Quite a number from our school
attended Rally Day of the 4-H
clubs at McCormick on last Sat
urday. An intej-jesting program
was given and a good time was
reported by all who were there.
Mr. W. H. Wooten attended an
agricultural conference in Ridge
Spring recently.
Mrs. L. V. Mayer has returned
to school after several weeks’ ab
sence on account of mumps. We
are indeed glad to have her back
and yet we regret to give up Miss
Lillie Dowtin who substituted for
Mrs. Mayer.

News Reel Picture
The many friends of Lieut, and
Mrs. Paul Miller, of Annapolis, Md.,
will be interested to learn that
Paul, Junior, was recently featured
in a news reel, being shown in all
the moving picture theatres
throughout the country this week.
Paul, Jr., is a member of a boxing
class, composed of boys whose
fathers are naval officers attached
to the Naval Academy at Annap
olis. The picture shows this class
in training on the campus of the
academy. Mrs. Miller was former
ly Miss Olga Wrenn, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Wrenn, prom
inent and well known residents of
McCormick.
