The T. E. L. Class of the Baptist
Church met Friday, December 19,

man, the entire class acting as
hostess of the month.
Since this was the last time Mrs.
T. W. Morgan, president of the
class, would meet with them, class
members gave Mrs. Morgan a love

of their appreciation for her ever

Mrs. R. L. Faulkner gave a

29th, honoring Mrs. Morgan. As a
parting gift Mrs. Morgan received

gan with a lovely party. Guests

Youth Succumbs
To Heart Attack
Marion F. Burnett, 12-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Lee Burnett,
died at their home in the Callison
section last night at 2:45 o’clock
after an illness of several weeks
from heart trouble.
Marion was a bright, popular boy
and his death has caused great sor
row among his many friends.
Besides his parents he is sur
vived by four sisters, Mrs. Guy
Lattimore of Bostick, N. C., Miss
Ella Lee Burnett, of Waco, N. C.,
Miss Louise Burnett of Shelby, N.
C., and Miss Myrtle Burnett, of
Callison, and one brother, William
Burnett, of Bostick.
The funeral services will be con
ducted at Bold Springs church to
morrow morning at 11 o’clock by
the Rev. G. W. Gurley and the
Rev. E. A. Wilkes with the follow
