May God’s richest blessing rest upon each and everyone. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Deason. The many friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. J. Bert Deason are sharing the sorrow with them, as their little 17 months old girl, Mary ! Eunice, died in the Greenwood Hos pital Friday night. The child became ill with dip- theria, and although the greatest care possible was rendered she died within 3 days. This is m ac cordance with an ordinance passed by city council in the fall of 1929, in order to encourage the taxpayers to pay their taxes before that date and thereby en able the town to meet its interest payments on bonds due January 1st. If you have purchased your car dur ing 1930 from one who has previously registered it, get a transfer blank from your auto dealer, or from the highway de partment. After properly fill ing it qut send to this depart ment with your temittance. Today—while you think of it, mail your application and remittance for 1931 license plates. There are more than 250,000 motor vehicles to be supplied with licenses. Delay will inconvenience you and severely handicap the License Division of the Highway Department, assist yourself. DO NOT SEND PER SONAL CHECKS Not more than three license plates will be is sued to an individual at our public issuing win dow in Columbia unless one is making applica tion for motor vehicles owned by one individual or firm. TO SAVE TIME AND TROUBLE, ORDER YOUR LICENSE BY MAIL INSTEAD OF COMING IN PERSON Remittance to the Highway Department must be made by certified personal check, post- office money order, or express money order. Personal checks will be returned to the senders. Currency sent through the mails is at the sender’s risk.
