Blackwell returned Sat urday from Los Angeles, Calif., where he attended the O. R. T. convention in session there two weeks. Solicitor Leon W. Harris from Anderson was seeing friends here Friday. He is in the race for U. S. Senate against Cole L. Blease and James F. Byrnes. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Faulkner are leaving today to make their home in Kilmarnock, Va., where they moved their store fixtures and goods to open business. The Anne Carter Chapter, U. D. C., will meet at the home of Mrs. J. T. Fooshe at 4:30 o’clock this afternoon, with Mrs. T. J. Price and Mrs. Ruth Duncan joint hostesses. Each member is expected to answer the roll call with the name of a prominent Confederate leader. Mr. C. H.
