Smith and family of Warrenton, Ga., were the week end guests of their son, Mr. W. N. Smith, and family. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Campbell at tended the funeral in Anderson on December 23rd of Mrs. A. B. Campbell’s sister, Mrs. Smith of High Point, N. C. Mr. C. B. Long and family spent a few days the past week with relatives and friends in Laurens. Mr. G. W. Sharpton of Clarks Hill attended to business matters here Tuesday. Mr. Josiah Patterson of Spar tanburg is spending a few days here in the homes of his nephews, Messrs. J. O. and G. C. Patterson. Miss Kathleen Abercrombie from Greenville spent the holidays here with her parents, Mayor and Mrs. Austin Abercrombie. Mr. E. H. Garrison and family from Carthage, N. C., spent the past week with Mr. F. A. Wise and ■family of the Bellvuc section. Mr. George Nelson and family from Spartanburg were visitors here several days the past w$ek to his mother, Mrs. Louise Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dukes and baby from Edgefield visited here in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Dukes, several days last week. Williams and Wadell Brabham of De la Howe State School, Mr. Jim Rheney of the U. S. Navy, Ports mouth, Va., and Mr. Jack Rheney of The Citadel, Charleston, en joyed a turkey dinner in the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Rheney De cember 26th. Miss Elsie Durham visited rela tives in Greenwood the past week. Mrs. M. A. Price of Greenville spent the week end here with her mother, Mrs. W. J. Connor. Mr. W. M. Strom and family vis ited relatives in Anderson during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Sammie Talbert from Greensboro, N. C., spent the holidays at Buffalo with his mo ther, Mrs. Sallie Talbert. Mr. and Mrs. Tollie Ellis of Ab beville spent Christmas here v/ith her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Mann. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Parks of Reidsville, N. C., are spending a week or so here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Parks. Mr. F. C. McCain of Greenville was a visitor here Tuesday. Mr. S. P. Clemons of Columbia was a business visitor here Mon day. The U. D .C. will meet this af ternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the tiome of Mrs. R. G. Killingsworth, with Mrs. D. C. Cole man, who has been critically ill the past several weeks at the home of his son, Mr. H. N. Coleman, re mains unchanged. Word comes from Greenwood Hospital that Mr. R. W. Perryman’s condition shows little or no im provement. He has been a patient there the past five weeks.
