South Carolina than any other one

prospects of the Fair this year. in
a conversation today he said that he
and his assistants have all been very
busy getting up the entry lists,
Col. Holloway stated that the
Clemson College authorities are se
riously thinking of bringing the en

the cadets to participate in the Fair
this year. Col. Holloway believes
that the arrangements which are
now pending will be successfully
carried out.
Col. Holloway has also taken up
the matter of the Winthrop College
girls getting to Columbia during the
State Fair and hopes to have this
mpleasant feature also added.
If the students of all the State
colleges come to Columbia during
the State Fair it will be one of the
pleasttntest of the many reunions
that takes place here.
Col. Holloway says that he has
been very much intpres..el with the

The- following..array of figures tell
in glowing terms the' great popu

s-venth district:
Lever. McLauchlin.

Orangeburg ........ 2,692 799
Richland.............. 2,645 685

Total ...........10,574 2,132
They tell a tale that should make
any young man who is just upon the
threshold of his political career proud
of, and Congressman Lover certainly
hao just cause to feel grateful to the
)emoorats of the seventh district for
this handsome tribute of their confi
dence and esteem in and for him, and
especially so when it is remembered
that Frank hAs won his laurels solely
through his own efforts and as a
recognition of his worth as a repro
sentative of the people as a reward
for his success in the interest of his
constituents. This evidence of con
tldece should be an incentive to him
to redouble his efforts in looking
after the various interests of the en
tire district. It will be observed that
Congressman Lover otrried rve-j
oounty in tho district by handsome
mjorities. Even Orangebnrg, the
bome county of Mr. McLaUeblin,
tuve Cotngr "sswan Lever a m-jjority
of 1,893 over his oppon. ni, while
Lexington, Congressman Lever's
